Eligibility
You must be an undergraduate or postgraduate student who was either:
- born in Scotland OR
- have at least one parent born in Scotland OR
- have been ordinarily resident in Scotland for three continuous years immediately before starting at a Scottish university.
Your application will not be considered without supporting documentation confirming one of the above.
You must have completed your first year and be studying a course in
Evidence of financial hardship which might prevent you from completing your course of study will be considered.
Further Information
It is a condition that an award should not reduce a student's entitlement to a state maintenance award.

An accompanying academic reference is essential. The reference should demonstrate the applicant to be of sufficient academic ability to complete the chosen course. It should also include previous/expected grades or performance.
