Students must be:
- undergraduates who have completed at least one year of study;
- postgraduates undertaking a 2-year taught course and will be continuing in session 2019/20;
- postgraduates engaged in research for a higher degree;
- have ordinary residence in Scotland and studying anywhere in the world (including Scotland);
- have ordinary residence outside Scotland and studying in Scotland.
Students due to complete their studies or applicants due to begin their studies in September 2019 are NOT eligible.
Number of Scholarships
Not more than ten applications from the University will be considered by the Trustees. The Trustees will make every effort to convey the results of applications by 31 August 2019.
The Trustees will not consider an award to cover expenditure which should have been planned at the outset of the course. They are more likely to favour applications to cover expenditure arising from unforeseen events and unexpected circumstances or to meet the costs of specific material needs.

Only applications made on the application form below will be considered. This includes a personal statement and financial details.
The name of a referee is required. Please provide a reference wih your application.
An incomplete application form will not be considered.
Applications must be signed by the applicant and countersigned by a member of the Funding and Financial Support team. Applications must come through Funding and Financial Support and should not be sent directly to the Trust by students.
Completed applications must be returned to the Funding and Financial Support Team (Advice Centre) by Friday 7 June 2019 at 4pm - applications received after this time will not be eligible for consideration.
