Strategic Plan 2015 - 2020
The year kicked off with Anderson the Strath Bear celebrating the Chinese New Year with his new friend at our Confucius Institute for Scotland's Schools.
More celebrations in February as Strathclyders formed part of the men's curling team that won gold for Great Britain at the 2017 Almaty Winter Universiade.
In March, we shared a special International Women's Day message from our award-winning professor Eva Hevia. Eva is a professor in Pure & Applied Chemistry.
All students like a dancing dinosaur, yes? Strathasaurus was on hand at the library in April to hand out energy boosters to students preparing for exams.
Our campus has lots of great spots for students to share their favourite snaps. Thanks to @yvonne_chenyy for this photo in the May sunshine!
Sir Billy Connolly fever gripped Strathclyde in June, as the 'Big Yin' came to visit us to accept an honorary degree awarded for his contribution to society.
Because we were missing them all, we asked our students to send us their #strathsummer snaps. In July, this terrific picture of the Great Wall of China was sent in by @yunpeng_chen.
The following month saw us host 10 US students as part of the Fulbright 2017 programme. Will Hoffman, from Notre Dame University, shared a photo from their civic reception at Glasgow City Chambers.
We were so happy to welcome lots of new students to Strathclyde in September! @sofi-du sent us this picture at Rottenrow Gardens as she was out and about exploring our campus.
Being based in Glasgow there are lots of opportunities to travel and see the country. Skye is always one of the favourites and we were only too happy to share this stunning pic from @irismeines in October.
The Engineering Academy is one of Strathclyde's great programmes. A picture of students Alex and Aidan working hard in our new skills academy labs was a popular post in November.
PhD student Kyle Smith and his crew set off on a trans-Atlantic rowing challenge in December. They shared this great photo before setting sail on their adventure. Good luck, guys!
