Innovation & entrepreneurship Commercialising innovation

Strathclyde practices, researches, trains, and consults extensively throughout the commercialisation of innovation process.

We provide support, resources and expertise to prototype, protect, pilot, fund and launch commercial innovations

Our research studies the fostering of innovation capability, and the management of innovative R&D, through project and portfolio management, to bringing innovations successfully to market.

Our own University ecosystem is an excellent example of the practice of commercialising innovation, providing the support, resources and expertise needed to prototype, protect, pilot, fund and launch commercial innovations.

Using the networks of researchers, innovative companies and investors that we are developing through international strategic partner universities, such as Stanford, New York University, Hong Kong UST and Nanyang Technological University, we attract innovative talent and R&D-intensive companies to Scotland, and provide routes to international growth for new knowledge-intensive companies, including our own spin-outs.
