Dr Nadia Zahoor

Strathclyde Chancellor's Fellow, Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship

I am a Lecturer and Chancellor’s Fellow at the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship with 6 years of work experience in Higher Education. I have a PhD degree in Management from the Huddersfield Business School, University of Huddersfield. I also hold an MBA (distinction) degree in International Business from the Business School, University of Greenwich.

My research interests lie in the areas of inter-organisational relationships, innovation, dynamic capabilities, and internationalisation. In addition, I am interested in small and medium-sized enterprises as an inquiring context. Given my research interests, I always wanted to work in an institution that support the creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship needed for SMEs’ growth and the associated benefits of job generation and economic and social wealth. Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship has provided me the best opportunity to create innovative new entrepreneurship knowledge, and to share this with the widest possible audience, through publications and conference presentations.

The Chancellor’s Fellow Scheme has provided me with the opportunity to the wealth of research expertise at the University of Strathclyde and to become part of a world-leading research community. As much as I like to be an educator, I also want to be a researcher. The Chancellor’s Fellow Scheme has provided me a path to achieve my research goals and establish myself as an independent researcher at the forefront of Entrepreneurship. As a Chancellor’s Fellow, I am benefiting from a programme of development comprising of personal development planning, applying for external research funding, building partnerships, and developing skills in teaching through the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice. Particularly, during the COVID-19 pandemic, University of Strathclyde has supported my work by providing access to equipment (such as, laptop, screen, cam, mic and chair).

Over the course of my fellowship, I intend to establish myself as an academic with an excellent research profile to ensure the international recognition of University of Strathclyde. I also hope to contribute to the global community of scholars in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation and strategy through high-quality publications and by being involved in the knowledge exchange partnerships.
