ReallySmallScience

The Department of Chemical Engineering is home to the ReallySmallScience outreach group, who engage with different audiences about the cutting edge chemical engineering research being undertaken within the University of Strathclyde.

Ran by Dr Mark Haw and outreach coordinator Ms Sylvia Battcock, the group aims to make scientific research more accessible and fun for all ages, from preschool children to adults, through interactive hands-on activities.

Whether you're a teacher looking to bring the latest science and engineering skills into the classroom, or a researcher seeking to engage the public, we have tailor-made workshops designed to help you.

For more information and availability complete our contact form and a member of the team will respond to you.

The children really enjoyed the event and loved the nano activties provided by the team, they enjoyed having a hands-on experience which kept the pupils engaged with the activtiy. They still talk about the workshops the team provided and we will hopefully work with the team again next session.
