ACG at the 1st Conference on Aerogel Inspired Materials

In September 2019 senior lecturer Dr Liu Yang and PhD students Kaibao Wang and Shima Dayarian attended the 1st Conference on Aerogel Inspired Materials, hosted by Newcastle University in Northeast England. The theme of this inaugral conference was “sharing the expertise and research results on all aspects of the emerging basic science, technology and applications of aerogel-inspired materials”. Across the three days a large number of presentations from acamdemic and industry researchers were given in sessions on Aerogel Synthesis, Aerogel Composites, Carbon/Organic Materials and Inspiration & Applications. The next edition of the conference series is already planned to be held at Tongji University, Shanghai, PRC.
