Chinese glass fibre manufacturer visits ACG

Demonstration and discussion of how our expertise can aid industrial partners

In late May 2017 the Advanced Composites Group (ACG) received a visit from glass fibre manufacturer Chongqing Polycomp International Corporation (CPIC), one of the largest producers of glass fibre and glass fibre products in China. Hosted by Dr Liu Yang, a party of 5 key CPIC managers and scientists attended: Mr Sun Hiuwa, Zang Qingwen, Jackey Luo, George Xiong and Dr Yu Hua.

Following a presentation of the history of CPIC and an overview of their current range of products and capabilities, ACG researchers gave a series of presentations summarising our expertise and current areas of active research. These presentations were well received and prompted positive discussions with the visitors. A full tour of our laboratory facilities, including the Advanced Materials Research Laboratory, was led by Dr Yang.
