Natural fibres for lightweight automotive applications

We are pleased to announce that José Luis Rudeiros-Fernández successfully defended his thesis “Improving the Impact Performance of Injection Mouldable Natural Fibres Polyolefin Compounds for Lightweight Automotive Applications” and that the examining committee has recommended the awarding of his PhD. José's research project was sponsored by manufacturing company SABIC.

Since completing his research program at Strathclyde, and while finalising his thesis for submission, José has been working at CERN as part of the latest upgrading project on the Large Hadron Collider. He is part of the Geneva-based research team that is developing the next generation of high field superconducting magnets.
