Reyham came from Iraq to Strathclyde to study MSc Artificial Intelligence. Here she tells us about her passion for the subject...
Why did you choose to study at Strathclyde?
It was recommended by many of my friends which made me highly encouraged to apply. Also, the Admissions Team at Strathclyde were very helpful and supportive, they answered all my questions and helped me whenever I needed them.
What do you think about the University?
The University of Strathclyde is a great place to be as it combines a top-notch educational system mixed with amazing uni-life. It is everything and more I can ever think of for a university.
Why did you choose to study MSc Artificial Intelligence & Applications?
Ever since I finished high school, I always wanted to become an AI expert. In my opinion, “Artificial Intelligence” is one of the best fields of study for all. This will have great impacts on humanity, such as in the field of medicine, engineering, finance, etc.
What do you like most about the course?
Teaching the machine how to think like a human and perform high analytical tasks, bridging the gap of what a machine can and can’t do!
What are you getting out of it?
This Master’s degree has given me the knowledge and the hands-on experience I needed to set me on the track to become a successful Data Scientist.
After graduation, I plan on taking employment as a data scientist to help to nourish the industry and be an effective contributor to AI and data science.
What would you say to anyone considering coming to study at Strathclyde?
I would highly encourage them to come and study at Strathclyde, not only it is a great university, but also it is situated in the heart of the magical city of Glasgow.
Last but not least, I wanted to say that Scotland has one of the most beautiful natural and historical landmarks in the world, this will only add to the benefit of studying at the University of Strathclyde.
