There were case studies with actual clients and we had to present a solution to the problem they brought forward to us. Providing real-life experience like that really gives you an edge when it comes to applying for jobs.

We get emails almost every single day from the University saying there is a part-time vacancy in the different community pharmacies... We are just getting that hands-on experience.

After uni, I've got a job lined up already. So in September, I'll be going off to work in an engineering company doing a lot of the stuff I was doing on the course.

In my final year, I developed a mobile app for youth employment and it was that dissertation that I used to start my own business. It was really due to Strathclyde that I started the business.

I gained valuable skills and insights whilst studying MSc Diplomacy & International Security, which enabled me to enter a field that I am passionate about. The experience I gained from this course will continue to assist with my career advancement.

Due to undertaking a work placement as part of this course, I also have an understanding of how my skills can be applied in a professional setting, which has helped me to develop my CV and prepare for entering the job market.

I’ve also depended on the careers service which has been so supportive and helped me land a really good internship with Glasgow City Council as well as improve my CV and university applications.

With Strath Inspire, I won the Exploring Entrepreneurship Challenge, in which my team created a pitch for a business that targeted solving ESG goals.

The internship I secured at Network Rail was significant in providing me with experience in a new industry and finding what career I wanted to continue with.

The main society I'm part of is the Formula Student team. I've managed to get my dream job through Formula Student at Williams Formula One as a Vehicle Performance Engineer.
