My name is Akomolafe Oluwatosin Kehinde. I am a Nigerian by Nationality, 32 years old and I am married with three kids. I studied my undergraduate degree at the University of Debrecen, and I completed my Masters degree at the University of Strathclyde with Distinction.
I decided to study a postgraduate degree to develop my knowledge and further my career in data management. After working for some years in a small organisation, I realised the world circles around data, and this is what drove my decision to study Information Management.
I chose to study at the University of Strathclyde because of its consistent high rankings. In addition to this, I have direct feedback from my sister who also studied at the university and had a great experience.
One key attraction to the course is its relevance across various areas of computing, such as machine learning, intelligent systems, business intelligence etc. It opens a diverse range of opportunities across emerging IT technologies.
My ambition for the future is to become a Data Analyst, Database Developer or to specialise in big data. The Information Management course has solidified the foundations to enable me to follow this path.
To anyone thinking of coming to study at Strathclyde, I would say they should not delay and they should expect a great leaning experience that will change their career.
