Innovation in Pedagogy to Enhance Classroom Practice Research Hub
The Strathclyde Institute of Education is proud to host the Centre for Teaching Excellence Research Hub for Innovation in Pedagogy to Enhance Classroom Practice (the Strathclyde Hub for Innovative Pedagogies (SHIP) for short). It will use collaborative professional dialogue through practitioner enquiry to support teachers engaging in and with research in the field of innovative pedagogy to enhance classroom practice. The focus will be on the approaches, strategies and principles educators use to help children and young people learn. We will be focusing on two inter-related research questions:
- What are the innovative pedagogies currently needed to address learner need in Scottish schools?
- How can teachers be facilitated in developing research engaged approaches to pedagogical innovation?
