Engage with Strathclyde will take place from 5-8th May in 2015 with over 50 events expected.
This annual week-long series of events aims to stimulate engagement with business, industry, the public and third sectors; and enhance the University of Strathclyde’s collaborative partnerships.
An exciting programme is being developed this year with events to communicate our collaborative and partnership approach across all our research areas and faculties. These will include a workshop on future cities; an event about smart phone design for older adults; and the launch of the University’s new Centre for Energy Policy as examples.
Alongside the core programme specific events will take place to complement the All Energy conference taking place in Glasgow in the same week and visitors to that are encouraged to visit the University of Strathclyde to find out more about our energy-related research and partnerships.
There will also be the opportunity to visit the annual Images of Research exhibition throughout the week to get an insight into the research being carried out across the University.
Many of the events during Engage with Strathclyde will be held within the University’s new Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC). A calendar of events is now available and will be updated regularly as events go live. Follow us on twitter (@EngageStrath) to keep up to date with the latest news.
The success of Engage with Strathclyde has been recognised externally and was successful in winning the Knowledge Exchange/Transfer Initiative of the Year category in the Times Higher Education (THE) Leadership and Management Awards 2014 (link to news article).
