The environment is a complex system, and to solve environmental problems often requires many different approaches.

The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering provides the knowledge base and experience to combine multiple disciplines to understand and manage such issues.

Our staff include engineers, scientists and social scientists; together we strive for sustainability of natural resources, a better understanding of human impact on the environment, and an improvement of the quality of life for everyone locally, nationally and internationally.
