Oyinkro Olobio

'Oyinkro holds a BSc in Political Science and an MSc in Information Science degree from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria, and worked in the IT, aviation, banking and oil and gas sectors of Nigeria before taking early retirement in July 2021. He has transferable skills in Issues and Stakeholder Management, Negotiations, Sustainable Development, Non-Technical Risk Management, Event Planning and Management, as well as Program cum Project Management.

He joined the 2022 stream of MSc in Mediation and Conflict Resolution at the University of Strathclyde and promptly seized the opportunity of vacancies in the Board of the Mediation Clinic to become a member of the Board. The last seventeen months has seen him volunteering to participate in several mediation sessions as an assistant thereby complementing his MSc educational training with practical mediation experiences.

He is a co-winner of the maiden Ailie Barclay award for ‘student mediator who has undertaken the most mediation sessions’ in the 2022 / 2023 academic session.

Workshop Title, “Experience of the Strathclyde Mediation Clinic as recent graduates”
