We focus on research useful to society

The University’s founder John Anderson in 1796 viewed the purpose of a university as serving "the public, for the good of mankind and the improvement of science".

The Psychology Group focuses its research on being useful to society, by employing psychological insights and understandings to address the problems we face today.
