Enhances stability after a flooding event
The aims of eSAFE are:
- Develop a robust and technically sound methodology to assess survivability after flooding for cruise ships
- Include side and bottom grounding/contact
- Investigage parameters: initial draughts, wind and waves etc
- Consideration of adjustment of the s-factor based on available information without performing basic research
- Prepare the ground for the use of alternative methods in assessing the survivability after flooding
- Ensure that efforts to enhance survivability are properly reflected and accounted for
