eSAFE

eSAFE is a joint industry project
Enhances stability after a flooding event

The aims of eSAFE are:

  • Develop a robust and technically sound methodology to assess survivability after flooding for cruise ships
  • Include side and bottom grounding/contact
  • Investigage parameters: initial draughts, wind and waves etc
  • Consideration of adjustment of the s-factor based on available information without performing basic research
  • Prepare the ground for the use of alternative methods in assessing the survivability after flooding
  • Ensure that efforts to enhance survivability are properly reflected and accounted for
