There are strong and well established synergies between medical imaging and NDE (in particular ultrasound) as both focus on non-destructive imaging of structures (albeit biological vs artificial). We are using this synergy and our expertise in autonomous systems to exploit a number of exciting health applications including:
- Robotic prosthetics
- Stress imaging using distributed pressure sensors
- Transcranial Doppler Ultrasound System
- Robot Guided Surgery
Through a five year research partnership with Pressure Profile Systems (PPS), we are translating our core research expertise to support PPS’s future product developments.
