Being placed in a position to advise and guide someone through the university application process can be daunting but it can also be extremely rewarding.
We recognise that you might - and should - have questions to ask about how to gain entry to the University. We are a highly competitive university, which means we cannot guarantee a place to all who apply. We can, however, provide you with information and advice to help you guide your applicants and ensure that they submit the best possible application that they can.
Entry requirements
The academic requirements to be considered for entry to the University vary depending upon which course(s) an applicant is applying to. All of our entry requirements are available online. It is also important that school pupils who are interested in eventually progressing to university select the appropriate subjects to study in their senior years at school.
Contextual data in admissions
The University is strongly committed to widening access to students from a variety of backgrounds. We aim to consider academic achievement within the context in which it was gained. As such, students from certain postcode areas, schools, or who have spent time in local authority care may be eligible for consideration on a slightly reduced set of entry requirements. CPD sessions for advisers
