Head of Access, Equality and Inclusion

I have worked in Widening Access for the university since 2004 and have been in my current role since April 2023. Previously Widening Access Manager (Outreach and Partnerships), I was seconded to the FOCUS West Director role between December 2021 and April 2023, during which time I had overall management responsibility for the multi-institution FOCUS West programme, a government funded schools outreach initiative that is part of the Schools for Higher Education Programme (SHEP). Working with the Widening Access and Equality and Diversity teams, my role is to lead on increasing opportunities for learners through outreach, inclusion and retention initiatives. I have been Widening Access lead on Articulation since 2017 and work with colleagues within the School of Education to lead the MEd 'Widening Access from School to Higher Education' module.
