Personal statement

I have worked at Strathclyde since 2011 and have held a variety of roles during that time. Starting with research information, moving to projects such as research data management and sharing and replacement of the research costing system before becoming research policy manager. Now as Director of Research & Knowledge Exchange Services, I lead the professional services directorate charged with increasing Strathclyde's ability to undertake research & knowledge exchange. We increase Strathclyde's success in research, knowledge exchange and impact through a range of actions and activities. We are the point of contact for academic staff seeking answers to questions across the lifecycle including on topics such as collaboration, funding and contracting. Working collaboratively with the Faculties and Centres, with Senior Officers and individual academics, we are involved in contributing Strathclyde's voice to sectoral discussions, the creation of internal and external networks, the setting of standards through policy and advice, and the completion of external assessments.
