Personal statement

As Director of Education Enhancement, Cathy works in partnership with the University Executive leads for education and the wider student experience, to deliver our institutional priorities for learning, teaching and the delivery of a distinctive, outstanding student experience. Cathy’s responsibilities include: • Executive support and leadership for Education Strategy Committee, Senate, Executive Team and other senior groups throughout the University on matters affecting the development and implementation of education strategy and academic policy. • Leadership and management of university-wide innovation in and enhancement of teaching, learning and assessment, including the application of relevant learning technologies, the University’s VLE service and support for the development and delivery of Graduate Apprenticeships. • Leadership for the University’s internal academic quality assurance processes and external engagement with the Quality Assurance Agency, including management of the Enhancement Led Institutional Review process. Cathy is member of the cross-institutional leadership team for the development and delivery of Graduate Apprenticeships and Degree Apprenticeships, supporting engagement with external agencies alongside the development and delivery of innovative work based learning programmes in the Faculties.
