Name: Tanja Mueller

Job title: Lecturer, Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences

Tanja's story

I joined Strathclyde in 2014 as a PhD student and have worked at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences ever since – first as a researcher, and now as lecturer.

As a post-doctoral researcher, I was Chair of the Researchers’ Group, a voluntary association aimed at supporting researchers’ needs across the University; I have also been a member of several other committees aimed at identifying best practice in research over the years and am currently a member of the University’s Research Development Concordat Research Culture working group.

I strive to make Higher Education a more inclusive and supportive environment for everybody; having a working-class background and experience of studying, working, and living in different countries myself, I can offer an open-minded and non-judgemental space to discuss concerns and available options.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you want to talk.
