One of Strathclyde's finest buildings, the historic Barony Hall is perfect if you're looking for a stunning, city centre venue with a touch of class.
The beautifully restored red sandstone building dates back to 1889 and is ideal for events including:
The Barony Hall - based on the Gerona Cathedral - can hold up to 500 people (theatre-style) on the flat floor area in the Great Hall or up to 600 using the Balcony.
There are three other areas:
- Winter Gardens
- Bicentenary Hall
- Sir Patrick Thomas Room
These can be used in a variety of ways, such as for registration, catering and break-out areas.
Our guests loved the venue. They were impressed with all the staff and enjoyed a superb meal. The organisation and catering were outstanding.
Events at the Barony
For exhibitions, the Great Hall offers up to 250 square metres of space for both an exhibition and catering. The Great Hall's height offers an added benefit, giving the event space and grandeur.
Dinners, dinner/dances & receptions
The Barony is perfect for dinner or a dinner/dance, and can accommodate up to 220 people in the Great Hall. The glass-covered Winter Gardens provide an ideal location for receptions or pre-dinner drinks. The Great Hall stage area is excellent for entertainment and the wooden floor is ideal for those who have brought their dancing shoes with them.
