Resource Booker is an online tool where staff and postgraduate research students can book rooms and resources across campus. You can log in using your university email address and password.

Central Pool Teaching rooms are available to book by staff and postgraduate research students. 

Bookings open once teaching activities are allocated on a semester by semester basis:

  • Weekday bookings in Central Pool Teaching rooms are booked using 'Central pool room' tile.
  • Out of hours and weekend requests should be made using the 'Central pool rooms out of hours' tile.

Staff are also able to book:

  • Collins meeting rooms
  • Graham Hills video conferencing room

Some departmental rooms and workstations are also available for staff and students.

When you log in to Resource Booker you will be presented with the ‘Make a Booking’ page. The booking tiles available will depend on your permissions.

  1. Log into Resource Booker with your university email and password.
  2. Select Make a Booking from the left-hand side.
  3. Click on the desired booking tile you wish to use to book a resource.
  4. Next you have a variety of options to search / filter your resources.
    1. Search by date and/or time:
      1. Input the desired date and/or time for booking.
      2. The resources available at the date and time selected will be displayed.
      3. Select the information symbol (i) to view additional information about a resource.
      4. To book the resource click the resource name to open the booking form.
    2. Search or select the desired resource to see its availability.
  5. Complete the booking form, entering a booking title and any other required information and select Book.
  6. If a booking requires approval, the message: This booking is pending approval. The booking approver will then respond to your request.
  7. If the booking does not require approval the following message will appear: This booking has been Accepted.
  8. Select 'X' to close the booking.
  9. You will then receive a confirmation email with your booking details.

  1. To view your current bookings select My Bookings.
  2. The default view will be the current week, click the forward or back arrows to view past or future bookings.
  3. To view a different Month click on the down arrow next to the Month name.
  4. Month, Day or a List view is also available.

  1. Click on the ‘My Bookings’ tab on the left.
  2. You will be shown the current week in calendar view.
  3. To change the week shown, use the arrows at the top right or change the view to Month/Day as required.
  4. You can also search for a specific booking via the search bar at the top.
  5. Once you have located the booking, select it and a pop up will appear.
  6. Select the cancel button, then Yes.

Please note past bookings cannot be cancelled. if you need to cancel a booking that has started, please email resourcebooker@strath.ac.uk.

 

  1. Click on the ‘My Bookings’ tab on the left.
  2. You will be shown the current week in calendar view.
  3. To change the week shown, use the arrows at the top right or change the view to Month/Day as needed.
  4. You can also search for a specific booking via the search bar at the top.
  5. Once you have located the booking, select it and a pop-up will appear.
  6. Edit the booking as required. 
  7. Select 'Update'.
  8. You will receive an updated booking request email.

Need to change the resource booked? You will need to cancel the booking and book a new resource.

You can subscribe your chosen calendar app to your Resource Booker bookings, and it will automatically update with any changes. The steps below will show you how to do this with the Outlook desktop app. 

  1. Log into Resource Booker with your university email and password.
  2. Select the subscribe button at the top right.
  3. Select the ‘Subscribe Manually with a URL’ option.
  4. Open Outlook, then navigate to your calendar.
  5. Select the ‘Add calendar’ button at the top and select ‘From internet’ from the dropdown list.
  6. Paste the link you copied and select ok.
  7. Your calendar should be added.
