We believe Lifelong Learning should be available to everyone – a commitment that reflects the ethos of our founder, Professor John Anderson, who left instructions more than 200 years ago for a ‘place of useful learning’ for all. Here at the Centre for Lifelong Learning, we are pleased to offer a range of on-campus and ‘live’ online classes as well as the renown Learn 50+ programme which offers learning aimed at those aged over 50.
Learn 50+ at CLL is our exciting offering of both on-campus and online (via Zoom) classes aimed at those aged 50+. These classes are as much about social interaction as they are about the topic being studied and this is put at the heart of the student experience. Classes whether on-campus or online take place on
specific days and times each week.

Our first satellite CLL is a partnership with the Thomas Graham Community Library bringing a selection of our popular classes to the local community in Strathblane.
Our students love the social aspect of the CLL community, learning and spending time with like-minded people. The Learning in Later Life Students’ Association (3Ls) is unique in the UK and very popular with our students, involving informal learning with an extra social dimension.
