Welcome to the home page of the Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing department (OHSaW).

Our aim is to coordinate, support, appraise and maintain the effectiveness of the organisation’s occupational health and safety and wellbeing system. To acheive this aim, our team employs several experienced and competent persons, who are able to offer advice on a variety of topics.

Latest News & Information

New information relating to health & safety throughout the University can be found below:

  • eCoSHH: A link to the electronic CoSHH system has been added to the left hand navigation bar. All users with a DS log on can access this to submit or view CoSHH assessments relevant to their areas.
  • Departmental Audits: A new programme of Departmental / Faculty audits has been started by the University OHSaW team. Information can be found at the link in the left hand navigation bar.
  • Fire Safety: The new Fire Safety page has been completed, and contains all documentation relating to fire safety, and useful information such as the fire alarm testing schedule.
