This course has been designed specifically to support adults who may be looking to re-enter the workforce, are facing redundancy, considering a career change or are looking to grow in confidence in their current roles. 

Presentation skills for work

This course has been designed for adults of any age who are looking to enhance their interview skills and employability, particularly those who may regularly have to deliver presentations in their roles. Being able to communicate effectively is vital for career success but it is just as important to be able to listen effectively. This course will suit those who wish to improve and learn about listening to hear and respond appropriately. The skills gained will be of use in almost any group work environment and would provide a great addition to anyone’s CV as well as helping to provide tools to address workplace inequality. It will draw upon some of the fundamentals of counselling skills practice and as such is also a useful introduction to this field of study.

Identifying and adapting your skills in mid/late career

Whatever area we are working in, we need to ensure we carry out our roles effectively, regularly reviewing what skills we need and identifying the most appropriate way to meet these needs. The ability to keep psychologically flexible whilst at the same time being adaptable within our skill set is vital in helping us to move forward.

The course is primarily intended to help support participants through times of change by increasing psychological flexibility and comfortableness relating to change and supporting them to identify their skill set, explore jobs that are suited best to this skill set and prepare them for interviews via CV development and job interview practice.
