Where are we?

We are located on Level One of the McCance Building in The Advice Centre and are open between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Drop-ins and Appointments

You can access information and advice on a number of matters - academic, immigration etc.  With general over-the-counter information; specialised drop-in sessions or, in some cases, a one-to-one appointment with an Adviser there is something to suit everyone's schedule.

We have a General Advice drop-in session on Thursdays from 2pm-4pm, where you can come and speak with one of our Advisers on a one-to-one basis.  

Checking of 'Online Visa Extension Application' drop-in sessions* take place on Thursday morning from 10am-12pm.   These sessions are explicitly for checking completed applications.   We would strongly advise that you take advantage of the General Advice sessions indicated above to address any specific queries that you have relating to your visa application as we are unable to address questions of  this nature over our counter or at a checking session.

*It is imperitive that you have been issued with a CAS prior to attending a checking session.  Please see instructions below.

Request a CAS

I need to make a Tier 4 Visa Extension application, how do I request my CAS?

To request your CAS you will need to provide some documents to The Advice Centre staff.  You should have your supervisor complete a CAS request form (for full details please see here), this along with your passport and current visa can be sent via email to or brought along in person to The Advice Centre.

By phone:  You can call us on 0141 548 4273 to make an initial enquiry, however, you may be asked to see us in person either at The Advice Centre during a drop-in session or at a pre-arranged appointment.  Telephone lines are staffed from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
