Work activities at the University may be undertaken that involve incidental exposure to, or deliberate use of biological agents.  The University aims to prevent or reduce exposure to such materials by complying with relevant legislation.

Work activities involving genetically modified (micro)organisms must be subject to a GM Risk Assessment, and approval from the University Genetic Modification Safety Committee.
