Biological Safety

As the University’s Biological Safety Adviser, Sarah is responsible for providing advice on biological safety matters to all staff and students seeking guidance.  Sarah will also advise on Biological Worker registration and the associated Biological Safety Training required prior to commencing biological work. 

She works closely with Department Biological Safety Co-ordinators and the Genetic Modification Safety Committee to give advice and guidance to continually improve safety for those working in biological areas. She is also Chair of the Biological Safety Forum, which consults with contacts in various departments working with biological material to provide a collaborative platform for Biological Safety.
