Personal statement

My multi-disciplinary and diverse research group aims at revolutionising chemical process design using AI-powered multi-sensor setups and multi-scale predictive modelling. My research leverages the increasing data availability and high-performance computing resulting from the drive towards Industry 5.0 to tackle the intricate puzzles posed by complex multi-scale phenomena. My expertise lies at the intersection of chemical engineering modelling, advanced data analysis and artificial intelligence. By seamlessly integrating physics-based and data-driven models, we unlock deeper process understanding, paving the way for a new era of agility and informed decision-making in the digital manufacturing landscape. My background in modelling and experience with industrial projects place me in an ideal position to contribute to this emerging field, potentially impacting major chemical and pharmaceutical companies and beyond. This ensures that my work addresses real-world needs and has a clear path to impact and commercialisation. Additionally, partnerships with renowned universities and research centres amplify the international impact of my research, while aligning with national and regional initiatives focused on digital manufacturing. Leveraging my expertise, I am committed to empowering the next generation of digital and sustainable engineers to tackle the world's most pressing challenges.
