Personal statement
Calum is an Associate Economist at the Fraser of Allander Institute and a Researcher at the Centre for Inclusive Trade Policy. His research interests primarily lie in economic policy, international trade and economic modelling.
Education and Key Skills
Calum holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Edinburgh, an undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Strathclyde and has experience working with partners across the public, private and third sector.
Calum is experienced in:
- Input-output modelling
- Macroeconomic modelling
- Evaluating and modelling economic policies
- Modelling using firm-level microdata
- Analysis of the distributional impacts of trade
- Analysis of the health of the economy and government finances
- Analysis of the labour market, poverty and inequality
- Analysis of businesses, markets and industrial policy
