Our Active classes are designed for those just starting activity or returning from injury.

Monday Active Tone 1.10pm-1.50pm Dance Studio

A conditioning class within the Dance Studio, suitable for those wanting a less intense class including those returning to exercise through illness or injury, new exercisers, and mature exercisers. Plenty of adaptations and progressions will be given allowing this class to be suitable for a wide range of individuals.

Tuesday Pilates 12.10pm-12.50pm Dance Studio

Pilates is strength-based exercises that will enable you to strengthen the whole-body structure with mat base work.  Emphasising the support of your core and breath that opens your range of movement and flexibility. You will learn how to align your posture correctly throughout your practice, experiencing profound, quicker, stronger results and most importantly prevention of injury. You will learn how to breathe properly in sync with your movement, which brings a magnitude to your stamina, strength and well-being, that can be taken into other areas and workout practices and classes. Pilates is poetry in motion!

Funky Dance Workout 1.10pm-1.50pm Dance Studio

This easy, fun, Dance workout class will have your pulse going while having fun. We dance to our favourite known songs from the 80’s, 90’s and today’s present music. With repetitive Dance steps we learn the movement, as well as working out burning the calories. Class is suitable for all levels including beginners, covering all funk styles of commercial Dance. The class aims in leaving you feeling amazing and smiling, in releasing good vibes if you’re having a busy stressful day. A wonderful way in learning new Dance steps for the weekend parties!

Zumba 5.15pm-5.55pm Sports Hall

The Latin-inspired dance workout mixing high and low intensity dance moves designed to get your heart rate up and boost cardio endurance.

Flexi/Mobility 5.15pm-5.45pm Gym

This is a great class for those who are looking to develop and improve their joints and muscle mobility for everyday life.

Wednesday  Active Circuits 12.10pm-12.50pm Gym - Rig

This class is to help get beginners or those returning to exercise through illness or injury, back being active, all exercises will consist of adaptations to make it easier or harder at each station to make it suitable for different levels of fitness.

Zumba 12.10pm-12.50pm Dance Studio

Active Stretch 1.10pm - 1.50pm  Dance Studio

A stretch class, within the Dance studio, to help increase mobility and flexibility, this is less intense class suitable for those returning to exercise through illness or injury, new exercisers, and mature exercisers.

Quads, Glutes, Core 4.15pm - 4.55pm  Gym - Mats

This class does what is says in the title. A class specifically to work on the core and lower body in a circuit training style. The variety of exercises and concentration on those areas are specific for maintaining everyday activities.

Quads, Glutes, Core - WOMEN ONLY 5.20pm - 6.00pm  Gym - Mats

This class does what is says in the title. A class specifically to work on the core and lower body in a circuit training style. The variety of exercises and concentration on those areas are specific for maintaining everyday activities.

Flow Yoga 5.15pm - 6.15pm  Dance Studio

A dynamic yoga practice designed to work with the changing energies of nature and the seasons. The class uses flowing sequences of postures linking the breath with movement to develop strength, flexibility and balance while stilling the mind for an enhanced sense of wellbeing.

Thursday Active Tone 11.15am - 12.00noon Dance Studio

AquaFit 12.15pm-12.45pm Swimming Pool

A high energy and fun fitness class in which you perform a range of aerobic moves in the pool. No matter what your age, ability or experience aqua fit is an inclusive activity suitable for everyone.

Active Yoga 1.10pm-1.50pm Dance Studio

A gentle introduction to yoga combining strength and mobility-based postures adapted from traditional yoga disciplines with breathing exercises. Postures are performed with background music.

Flexi/Mobility 5.30pm-6.00pm  Gym - Mats

This is a great class for those who are looking to develop and improve their joints and muscle mobility for everyday life. Class will take place within the Gym.

Turn'd Up Fitness 6.00pm-6.55pm SSPE

Turn'd up fitness is not just a fitness class, there are choreographies to follow, anybody of any fitness level can enjoy/take part. It's a fun dance class that empowers and brings people together. When the class starts lights go off, disco lights come on!

Cycle Active 30 12.15pm - 12.45pm  Gym - Cycle Area

This is similar to our Cycle 30/45 classes but is adapted to cater for participants who are starting back to exercise after a period away or injury along with those wanting a less intense class.
