After a fire in the Mzuzu campus library, the Malawi Millennium Project (MMP) mobilised to retrieve the dire situation for the students.
Fortuitously, and most fortunately, the Jordanhill campus library was being disassembled. The entire shelving, tables, chairs, and cupboards were packed into a container, and dispatched to Mzuzu, along with a variety of academic books.
The ‘Library in a Box’ was covered in the press, both here, and in Malawi. As a result, the students could continue their studies.
