So students can effectively study in their own time, we’ve brought all our online learning opportunities together in a sleek new section of our website. The content ranges from free study and Massively Open Online Courses (MOOCs), all the way through to full and work-based degrees.
Discover with MOOCs
Partnering with FutureLearn, the premier provider of MOOCs, our academics have developed a variety of short courses that combine internationally leading research and expertise with an innovative online learning journey.
Users can test their understanding of Forensic Science through our award-winning MOOC, taking them through the evidence of a murder case week by week and asking them to participate in the jury decision. Or they can learn how data science is advancing engineering through our Hurricane Tracking using Satellite Data course. There’s so much just waiting to be discovered.
More formal study
Those who are interested in more formal study are in luck, too. We’ve got an extensive range of online degrees – all leading to an award at the end of them. From Autism to Hydrogeology, Internet Law to Risk and Safety Management, our portfolio offers loads of ways to continue education journeys and develop careers. And we’ll continue to develop new degrees, keeping learning fresh.
A new way to learn
We’re also offering a totally new type of degree through the expansion of apprenticeship opportunities across the UK. That means completing a degree with Strathclyde alongside full-time employment through Graduate and Degree Apprenticeships. These fully accredited degrees are developed in partnership with industry bodies, and create a new learning community that involves the student, the employer, and the University.
