Tianjin, you're beautiful

Wow.. what a month May was.

Alongside Mid-term exams, I spent a lot of time exploring more of Tianjin. Sometimes it’s easy to ignore what’s around you. We are lucky to have a beautiful stadium beside our university where many of the students like to hang out. We also live beside a large park called People’s Park. The park is very popular amongst the elderly as they often like to dance or exercise in public. Some of us hired a paddle boat and peddled around the lake. The summer weather is truly here, and we’ve taken full advantage of it.

If you’ve ever visited China, you will realise they love bikes! There are thousands of bikes everywhere for public use. You simply scan the QR code on the bike you wish to use, pay a small amount of money and hop on! It’s fantastic. Many of us cycled along the river one night and visited the Tianjin Eye.

Our university spoils us with the trips they organise for the international students. We had the chance to visit the Hebei Acrobatic show. It was a unique experience that we probably wouldn’t have been able to do if it weren’t for the university organising it for us.

I’m really looking forward to my remaining time in China. I’ve decided to come back to China for one more year after the scholarship is over. I feel I need more time to explore China and I’m really enjoying learning Chinese. I’ve wrote a blog post on my experience applying to University in China so feel free to have a look if you’re interested.

Until next time..
