Diamond Dogs and answers for Gardenrose Primary
Wow, I am very late! (我很晚了!)
I apologise to all you lovely people, but China is such a wonderful country that I stop to smell the roses so much that I forget to write about the smell. I hope that from now on I can be more regular. On the bright side, you guys will get a sort of “best of” look at this strange and exciting land.
I may have peaked at the very start of my time in China. I was fortunate enough to, along with some of my fellow scholars and other foreign students, meet the mayor of the municipality of Tianjin, Mr. Li Hongzhong (李鸿忠). This was at a celebration of the 68th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, or what you may know as simply China. This was a larger event than me and my fellow students had anticipated, as there were stars of the Beijing opera and Olympic gold medal winners in attendance! It was a terrific reception and only the beginning of my adventures.
Until next time, 再见!

Answers for Gardenrose Primary
Okay, some answers for you guys, you certainly deserve them!
Is the vanilla meow worth trying? - Yes! You can try it at home, it is a normal vanilla milkshake with sprinkles on top, best enjoyed with a cat on your lap.
What does all the food taste like? - That’s hard to say, since the food is so diverse. I will say that all the food I have tried is delicious, and my roommate even ate a chickens head! I decided against that one.
How has the weather been? - Warm, warm, warm, warm, then FREEZING! I love it.
Have you met any Chinese people? - Yes, every day. All my teachers and most of the people at the school are Chinese. I have to speak Chinese whenever I want to go anywhere outside my room, which is fantastic practice.
Did you buy a rabbit? - Sadly, I am not allowed pets.
Is where you are staying nice? - Yes. Imagine a standard hotel room, complete with roommate, and that’s my room.
Have you been to any cool places? - Lots, but my favourites have to have been the Great Wall, the Nine Dragons Mountain and Minyuan Stadium in Tianjin.
Are you getting on with your roommate? - Yes! His name is Owen and he’s from Irvine, just up the road. His Chinese is a lot better than mine so its good to have someone to answer any silly questions I may have.
What have you been studying in Chinese? - Wow, that’s a big question. I’ve studied a lot of the basics, but I’m definitely still a beginner.
I love the questions, keep them coming!
