The beginning of a new year...

嘿 (hei) Culross Primary!

After two 7 hour flights, 3 hours in Doha airport, 4 hours in 北京(Beijing) and 3 hour bus journey to 天津 (Tian Jin), we finally made it to our new home for the year at 天津外国语大学 (Tianjin Foreign Studies University).

Two weeks in now and I've redesigned what could be called a hotel room into  more homely place to live. I've put up photos of friends a family and brought little presents from Scotland.

Around campus it is so easy to meet people from all over the world. I'll give you a small list of some countries and you can translate it for me.

      1. 美国

      2.日本

      3.中国

      4.韩国

 My Biggest Challenges:

1.睡觉(shuijiao-sleep)

It has been very difficult to adjust to the time difference. China is 7 hours ahead of Scotland so when you are eating your breakfast I will be eating dinner! So I have been sleeping during the day and been staying awake at night.

2.食物(shiwu-Food)

It is very difficult to order food wherever we go. The shop keeper or cateen staff often speak very quick and I also don't really know what I'm trying!

So far this has been my favourite food. I still don't know what it is but it is made fresh and cooked right infront of me.

I hope to hear from you all soon!
