The University is committed to meeting its legal obligations by ensuring that it has adequate arrangements, facilities and trained personnel to reduce the risk of injury or ill health from manual handling operations.
The Manual Handling Standard sets out the minimum requirements to control risk associated with manual handling activities at the University of Strathclyde in order to comply with relevant legislative obligations and University requirements.
This document applies to all University staff, postgraduate research students andvisiting staff in temporary placements who have managerial, supervisory or operational manual handling responsibilities.
