The Dr Jack Dunlop Elite Athlete Scholarship

Through generous donations from Dr Jack Dunlop, The Dr Jack Dunlop Elite Athlete Scholarship provides financial assistance to high-calibre Performance Sport Scholars from the University of Strathclyde.

Jack graduated from the University of Strathclyde with an undergraduate degree (with honours; 1977) and PhD (1980), both in the field of Chemistry. He was later awarded Chartered Chemist (CChem) and Member (MRSC) status by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Throughout his time studying at the University, Jack played football for the University, and as an avid sports fan, Jack has been a long-term supporter of Sport at the University.

The financial bursary is for between £1,500 and £3,000 per student, with two awards per academic year.
