What you'll learn

 

The module is offered by the Centre for Lifelong Learning and will cover:

  • A basic introduction to the Italian language through paired speaking activities, listening to audio material and videos and reading simple texts
  • A range of typical everyday situations and topics
  • The basic elements of Italian grammar

 

Delivery

This course will begin w/c 15th April 2024 and will be delivered via live online sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6pm-7.30pm for 11 weeks

Assessment

For students wishing to gain credit for the course, they will be required to complete the following online assessments:

  • Midpoint Open Book assessment (week 5)
  • Online timed Listening test (week 10)
  • Final online End of term exam (week 11)
  • A minimum of 70% class attendance

Who can apply?

 

This course will be of interest to adults of any age who are looking to enhance their employability and boost their confidence with language skills and stand out in today’s competitive job market.

As this is a class for complete beginners, no prior language skills are required.

Fully funded places are available for this module supported by the Scottish Funding Council.

What will I get at the end of it?

This course is worth 10 credits at SCQF Level 7.
