Strathclyde Centre for Doctoral Training in Global Environmental Monitoring and Policy (GEMaP)About us - How will GEMaP nurture researchers of the future?

GEMaP provides its doctoral students with a shared  environment within which they can gain the knowledge and methodological skills that enables them to address the GEMaP challenges in an applied way. The CDT students and affiliated students are encouraged to share knowledge and perspectives, channel and encourage their interests, and share useful resources. The GEMaP environment is interdisciplinary.

As well as the GEMaP network, the students also benefit from a rich and diverse training programme in research methods

As well as the GEMaP network, the students also benefit from a rich and diverse training programme in research methods within the different aligned disciplines as well as cross-cutting courses. This allows them to take multidisciplinary approaches in their research and equips them with transferable skills in preparation for leadership roles in academia, research, government, and industry.

The CDT launched in 2019, and the first cohort of doctoral students will focus on climate change and water resources. To find out more about GeMaP students, see our Members page.
