Strathclyde Centre for Doctoral Training in Global Environmental Monitoring and Policy (GEMaP)About us - What is the GEMaP CDT?

A Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) brings together, supports and resources doctoral students whose research tackles a similar research theme. The core research theme of the Global Environmental Monitoring and Policy (GEMaP) CDT is to study and develop effective approaches for measuring, monitoring, and reporting progress on environmental policy and governance regarding sustainability and climate change.

Measure, monitor and report progress on environmental policy and governance regarding sustainability and climate change.

This is a large and multidisciplinary research theme, and so the GEMaP CDT brings together the perspectives and approaches of doctoral students from different disciplines, including political science, environmental science, technological innovation, and economics. GEMaP provides its doctoral students with a unique environment to gain the knowledge and methodological skills allowing them to address the challenges outlined in an applied way.
