As the University’s Radiation Protection Officer, Richard is responsible for providing advice relating to both ionising and non-ionising radiations and delivery of radiation safety related training.

He is also responsible for investigating and reporting on all incidents involving all forms of radiation.

The use of ionising radiation at the University is undertaken in laboratories across the campus. The University aims to reduce any potential exposures to ionising radiation to as low a level as can be achieved.
