MSc Applied Translation & Interpreting
Start date: September
Study mode & duration: 12 months full-time

MSc TESOL & Intercultural Communication
Start date: September & January
Study mode & duration: 12 months full-time; 24 months part-time
Gain the practical knowledge and skills to teach English to learners with a wide range of social, cultural and communicative goals.
MSc Translation Studies

Study mode & duration: 12 months full-time
Strategically prepare for a career in the language industry and beyond, or for a PhD.

Fees & funding
Applicants ordinarily resident in Scotland
SAAS offer postgraduate tuition fee loans of up to £7,000 per year. Full time students can also apply for a living cost loan of up to £6,900, making the total funding available £13,900.
EU residents
EU residents applying to full-time, face-to-face postgraduate taught programmes may be eligible for an EU Engagement Scholarship worth between £6000-£8000
Non-EU international residents
Non-EU international students beginning full-time, face-to-face postgraduate taught programmes in 2026/27 may be eligible for a scholarship worth between £6,000 and £8,000.
