You could raise money for Strathclyde to help fund important projects by taking on a challenge or event and encouraging your friends and family to support you.
Our alumni have taken part in marathons, treks and other sporting events to raise funds and support a number of important projects, including bringing solar energy to remote communities in Africa and India.
If you would like to fundraise for Strathclyde you can set up your own dedicated fundraising page by following these simple steps:
- tell us about yourself and what you are doing by completing our Fundraising checklist form - we'll use this to set up a fundraising page on your behalf
- we'll contact you when your page is live. You can then set up your own team or individual pages outlining your mission
- start promoting the page to friends, family, and others across social media
- Don't forget to begin training for your challenge!
Fundraising in action: Dubai Marathon
The UAE Alumni Association - Dubai Chapter alumni group took part in the 2016 Dubai Marathon.
A fundraising page was set up for the group and runners could then set up their own personalised pages which were supported by donations from friends and family.
The Alumni Group ran in University of Strathclyde t-shirts and held an event after the race; they raised almost £5,000 to support development projects in Malawi and India.
