Round-Table on UN Biodiversity Conference of the Parties

Major international negotiations on biodiversity were held in Cancun, Mexico, in December 2016. The UN Biodiversity Conference addressed a series of key environmental and societal challenges, including synthetic biology, marine biodiversity, and links between human rights and biodiversity (notably in relation to the traditional knowledge of indigenous peoples and local communities). Three international environmental law and policy experts who were in Cancun will share insights into the negotiations, identify the highlights of the UN Biodiversity Conference and explain the focus of the most intense negotiations with a view to engaging in a dialogue on the relevance of the 2016 UN Biodiversity Conference for a variety of stakeholders and researchers:
