Welcome to the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law & Governance (SCELG). We are based at the University of Strathclyde Law School in Glasgow, Scotland. We strive for globally impactful research, teaching and knowledge exchange in a wide range of interconnected areas of environmental law and governance.
The Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law & Governance was established in 2012 and has benefited from a large investment in 2016. It brings together more than twenty researchers including staff, PhD and visiting researchers based at Strathclyde Law School and welcomes experts from other disciplines.
We aim to identify and shape emerging areas of legal research in environmental governance with a strong development focus, including through innovative teaching geared towards students' global employability and through collaborations with global practitioners.
